Today I am sick.... woke up with fever, chills and coughing.  I think it is sinus issues but not sure.  Hubby is taking care of me and the house today...what would I do without him.

Well here in Texas we got at least 6 inches of snow....my sisters boys came to stay with us so her and her hubby could go to work unfortunatly the hosptial does not close and neither does the meat market at the supermarket.  So we had a 7yr old and 9yr old visiting with us; we have played in the snow, had snowball fights, went sledding, made hot chocolate, homemade pizza and homemade donuts too...what a time we had.  Thanking God for this special time with them. Hope everyone is staying warm today

Today has been a pretty good day... started out organizing the kitchen drawers and made to loaves of Amish white bread(yummy) then helped my dear friend (a single mom) who is having a rough day.  Now getting ready to go clean the church so it will be ready for Sunday morning worship.  Hope everyone is having a blessed day.  Loving the Lord, Kim

There is always and alternative

And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom though lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains whitch I will tell the thee of . Genesis 22:2. 

To me God is saying "No price is too great to pay for the proper care of that which I have given you.  Never regard lightly that which is precious in My sight.  There is always an alternative to the life of relinquishment, but is lean and barren.  That which is most precious needs to be offered up to Me continually.  My grace is as a beacon. It shall shed light on all that is now obscure."

What precious thing do I need to offer up to God? 
To me it would be my grown children, I can no longer tell them what to do, or say this is the way its going to be.  They are grown and I must just pray and ask God to lead them in His ways.
